A Canadian UN election official. At least two Canadian Chief Electoral Officers, British Columbia and Ontario played major roles in the UN administration. Both Oxfam Canada and Canadian Electoral official enjoyed a respected status at this and other elections on the basis of perfromance and the electoral process in Canada although most elections monitored were based on proportional legislation and rarely on first past the post. (We might note that the present planned Fair Vote Act if implemented will reduce Canada's credibility significantly.
