Cyprus: UNESCO Report

Series consists of reports and notes created in Jacques Dalibard's capacity as a Special Advisor during UNESCO's cultural heritage mission to Cyprus. This includes summaries, notes, drafts, correspondence, and reports on the status of the conservation of cultural property accompanied by photographs.

Swiss Ukrainica: "Ukraina" Association, Geneva

The series consists of Ukraina's manifesto, protocols, correspondence, unused examples of its official stationary, posters, and newspaper articles.

"Ukraina" was the name of the Ukrainian Student's Association (Ukrains'ke students'ke tovarystvo) in Geneva, part of the larger Association generale des stuidents de l'Universitye de Geneva.

Series also includes material from the Ukrainian Club, Geneva.

Steering Committee

This sub-series is comprised of minutes of the CEECT Steering Committee.

The Steering Committee originally consisted of six members: Mary Jane Edwards, Mary Durance, Jeremy Palin, Sydney Wise, Robert Laird, and Robert McDougall. In later years, the Committee was expanded to include other Carleton University faculty such as Thomas Ryan, Carl Amberg, Naomi Griffiths, Ian Cameron, and Dennis Forcese. The Committee's objective was to establish the administration and funding of the CEECT editorial project. Tasks included selection of texts and determining the editorial principles and procedures for CEECT. The Committee convened every second week 1979-1982, at which time the Committee was dissolved and replaced by the Editorial Board.

Research

This sub-series consists of bibliographic sources and researchers' notes, including audio records of publishers' archives.

CEECT relied on interlibrary loans to acquire rare books, and as a result utilized the interlibrary loan section of the MacOrdum Library at Carleton University.

Geoffrey Pearson and Lester B. Pearson

This sub-series contains materials that were created or accumulated during interactions between Lester B. Pearson and Geoffrey Pearson. The material is divided into 3 thematic areas: Seize the Day material; Lester B. Pearson Papers Trustee; and Lester B. Pearson Literary Executor.

Personnel

This sub-series consists of personnel correspondence to and from CEECT, including graduate students and research assistants. This sub-series also contains job descriptions for the various research and administrative positions pertaining to CEECT.

CEECT hired numerous students and administrative support staff through the assistance of external SSHRC funding and internal funding from various departments at Carleton University. Additional funding came from the Work Study Program and Graduate Studies to employ undergraduate and graduate students.

Commercial Developments

The project plans contained within this sub-series are: The addition to Jack McGee Chev. Olds; Lakefield Condominium Project for Hamilton and Hamilton Investments; Empress Gardens [Retirement Residence]; Regency Square [Peterborough] Park Lane Group; expansion of 244 Aylmer Street and architectural plans of many small businesses and shops in downtown Peterborough (George Street and Simcoe Street).
