Education and administration

Series is comprised of material created or accumulated by Norman Fenn during his employment in education or education administration including: Assistant Director, Health and Physical Education, Berea College, Berea Kentucky (1948-1950, 1951-1952); Director of Athletics as well as Director of Student Affairs , Carleton University (1952-1964); Assistant to the Executive Director, George Junior Republic, Freeville, New York (1964-1966); Director of Counselling and Health Services, Carleton University (1966-1974); and Dean of Student Services, Carleton University (1974-1980).

International aid and relief

Series is comprised primarily of correspondence between Norman Fenn and his family reflecting his experiences while he was serving with the American Field Service Volunteer Ambulance Unit (1943-1945) and the American Friends Service Committee (1945-1948) in India and the surrounding area. Correspondents include his parents (Jeanette Fenn, née Dingman and Herbert Fenn) , his brother and Sister-in-Law (John and Margaret Fenn), as well as extended family.

Miscellaneous files

This series consists of various minutes, reports and other material pertaining to meetings of the University Senate, the Faculty Board, and the Student Aid Committee; as well as 13 student directory handbooks, dating from 1948-1967. Some professional correspondence and convocation documents are also included, along with a copy of Dr. Morton's obituary notice, dated November 26, 1987. Dr. Morton died on October 20, 1987.

This series includes material consisting of manuscripts, invoices, receipts, and submissions in relation to the publications created by Delta Canada.

Series consists of personal ephemera accumulated by Maureen McTeer throughout her professional life as a public spokesperson and educator. Includes I.D. badges, personal schedules, photographs and a brass name plate.

Women's health and advocacy: Publications and public engagements

Series consists of magazine articles, interviews and speeches accumulated by Maureen McTeer during her professional life as public spokesperson and educator. The material deals with issues of women's health sciences, gender equality and genetic sciences. Series also includes book reviews of McTeer's publication Tough Choices: Living and Dying in the 21st Century and a short biography.

Science education

Series consists of interviews conducted by Maureen McTeer for the online show, Science Bytes. The interviews are dated between 1999-2001. The interviews are recorded on CD-ROMs and VHS tapes. The series also includes transcripts and notes.

Research files

This series consists of research files compiled, created and used by Donald McEown in the writing of Creating Carleton: the Shaping of a University. Records detail the history of Carleton from its beginnings through to the 1980s. Documentation includes statistical, legal, operational and logistical records, as well as financial, and strategic planning material. Draft copies of the manuscript of Creating Carleton and related correspondence and news clippings are also included.
