Listening to our tape deck. In general children were the focus of much attention from the various missions. Many were traumatized by the flight from El Salvador when refugees were attacked by the Salvador military and children were carried on the backs of Adults as they crossed the two rivers Lempa and Supul into Honduras while harassed and shot at by helicopters. But they responded to the friendliness, playfulness and small gifts from the mission members some of whom had a natural affinity to children e.g Father Greg Chisholm.
