This is a beautiful child with whom Meyer Brownstone played. On his next visit shortly later he tried to find the child but no own could tell me where she was until, finally, someone took pity on me and told me that the child had died of dysentery shortly after my visit. He was devastated by her death which illustrated the lack of health workers in the camps and the failure to educate the refugees in the treatment of dysentery. Colomancagua, Honduras, ca. 1985.
