Committee of Adjustment

The series consists records documenting the decisions made by the Committee during 1978, and correspondence regarding the subject of minor variances.

The Committee of Adjustment is an independent quasi-judicial body established under the provincial planning law to decide applications for minor variances from land-use by-laws. Richard Abbott was a member of the Committee of Adjustment for the City of Ottawa in 1978.


The series consists of records created and accumulated as the International Council on Monuments and Sites Canada conducted its work in heritage conservation. The correspondence includes communication between the Canada and International ICOMOS. This includes general communications and that about specific issues and work.
