This series consists of textual and ephemeral material produced, received and accumulated by the John H. McDonald (JHM) Foundation of Canadian University Press. The Foundation was formed in 1987 to foster and support student journalists in Canada through annual awards and other development opportunities. Documentation includes legal and constitutional records, correspondence regarding sponsorship, Board of Directors' and annual general meeting minutes, and nomination forms for awards granted by the Foundation. There are also fifteen engraved wooden plaques awarded by the Foundation in the following categories: Sports writing, Opinion, Arts, Photography, Features writing, Design, Labour reporting, Graphics, News writing, Humour writing, Diversity reporting, Solutions oriented writing, Acualité, Société, and Arts et culture.
