The fonds consists of three items of early ephemera accumulated by Mr. Kettles when he attended Carleton University. These items include a page of school yells and cheers, a Welcome to Frosh pamphlet, and a Student Council comical decree.
Series consists of magazine articles, newspaper clippings and posters relating to the field of journalism, particularly its history in Canada. Kersterton used these materials to keep informed and to develop his book on the history of Canadian journalism.
