Autobiography; Manuscript and typescript records

Batchinsky's original collection manuscript and typescript records include: some Dossier indexes and lists, a register of correspondence with accounts of moneys received from supporters and parishioners; address file; sample letterhead; and a catalogue of his library.

Leonid Bachynsky

Batchinsky's correspondence with his brother Leonid: 1920-1973. Leonid Bachynsky was born 28 February in Katerynoslav and was a teacher and community activist. During the revolutionary years, he gave many lectures to the solders in UNR army camps and later was involved in the organization of Plast (Ukrainian Scouts) in Transcarpathia during 1923-1929. In 1952 he founded the Ukrainian Museum-Archives in Cleveland, Ohio, which he directed until 1977.

Contains a file of summary materials such as photocopies of his curriculum vitae to 1953 and his annotated copy of the 1856 Munich biographical pamphlet

Swiss Ukrainica: "Ukraina" Association, Geneva

The series consists of Ukraina's manifesto, protocols, correspondence, unused examples of its official stationary, posters, and newspaper articles.

"Ukraina" was the name of the Ukrainian Student's Association (Ukrains'ke students'ke tovarystvo) in Geneva, part of the larger Association generale des stuidents de l'Universitye de Geneva.

Series also includes material from the Ukrainian Club, Geneva.

This series consists of chronological and alphabetical collection of the signatures of prominent and chiefly Ukrainian individuals, in most cases these are signatures clipped from Batchinsky's letters received (some signatures were obtained through third parties). Examples include the autographs of D. Dontsov, Y. Chykalenko, S. Yefremov, L. Yurkevych, D. Doroshenko and M. Hrushevs'kyi. Some of the signatures are on unclipped letters that provide incidental information about the authors.
