Quebec Region of Canadian University Press

This series consists of textual material detailing the activities of the Quebec region of Canadian University Press (CUPBEC/CUPBEQ). It includes financial and administrative records, conference reports and proceedings, regional newsletters, position papers, correspondence and news exchange items.

CUP history

This series consists of textual records detailing the history of CUP, including: special project and resource files; subject-related essays and theses; alumni lists, interviews and correspondence; member and mainstream newspaper clippings; CUP file indexes; grant proposals and applications; newsletters and correspondence; speeches and addresses; promotional events, services, activities and conference documentation; and historical staff lists.

John H. McDonald Journalism Foundation

This series consists of textual and ephemeral material produced, received and accumulated by the John H. McDonald (JHM) Foundation of Canadian University Press. The Foundation was formed in 1987 to foster and support student journalists in Canada through annual awards and other development opportunities. Documentation includes legal and constitutional records, correspondence regarding sponsorship, Board of Directors' and annual general meeting minutes, and nomination forms for awards granted by the Foundation. There are also fifteen engraved wooden plaques awarded by the Foundation in the following categories: Sports writing, Opinion, Arts, Photography, Features writing, Design, Labour reporting, Graphics, News writing, Humour writing, Diversity reporting, Solutions oriented writing, Acualité, Société, and Arts et culture.

Youthstream

This series consists of textual material created, received and accumulated by the Canadian University Press in regards to Youthstream, the arm of Cameron Consultants of London Ltd., which provided national advertising to newspapers in The Campus network. Records include contracts, correspondence, financial reports and supporting documentation, as well as policy documents, minutes and agendas from Campus Plus board meetings held at annual Canadian University Press conferences. Minutes from the Youthstream members' board are also included.

Western Region of Canadian University Press

This series consists of textual material detailing the activities of the Western region of Canadian University Press (WRCUP) from 1973 to 2000. It includes financial and administrative records; conference reports and proceedings; regional newsletters; fieldworkers', regional staff and directors' reports; position papers; correspondence; recruitment and news exchange items.

Ontario Region of Canadian University Press

This series consists of textual material detailing the activities of the Ontario region of Canadian University Press (ORCUP). It includes financial and administrative documents; conference proceedings; fieldworkers', regional staff and directors' reports; regional newsletters from the 1970s and 1980s; position papers; and recruitment and election documentation and correspondence.

Subject files

This series consists of subject files and correspondence regarding all aspects of CUP administration, staffing and operations from the 1960s to 2013, including policies and practices; projects, proposals and other initiatives with partner and colleague organizations, both student-based and otherwise; assorted style and specialized subject guides, and topical resources on reporting and media (such as women's rights, censorship, and investigative reporting). Resource papers, surveys, press releases and significant recruitment documentation are also included.

Newspapers

This series is comprised of correspondence between Canadian University Press and Campus Plus and their member newspapers across the country, and consists chiefly of financial and administrative details regarding membership. Individual papers' campus-specific issues and activities are also included.
