This series is comprised of material created or accumulated by John W. Foster in relation to his time at the University of Saskatchewan (as an undergraduate student and the Sallows Chair in Human Rights), University of Toronto (as a masters and PhD student), Carleton University (as a professor) and other academic institutions.

Academic notes

The series consists of academic notes taken by S.F. Wise as a student (1946-1959). These records encompass both his undergraduate and graduate studies.

Sydney Wise attended several universities as a student; the University of Toronto (1949-1950), Queen's University (1953), and the University of Chicago (1953) and Chicago University (1954) for graduate courses.


This series consists of CEECT's long-term budgets, including those related to the first and CEECT conference in 1983. Also included is the correspondence between CEECT and various Canadian foundations that made financial contributions to the publication of its texts.

CEECT received funding from Canadian foundations. These funds coupled SSHRC and Carleton University financial support assisted CEECT in employing research assistants, hosting conferences, publishing and distributing its newsletter, supporting travel expenses, and preserving the rare book texts in microfilm form.

Administration files

Series consists of administrative records created or received by St. Patrick's College. The records pertain to the following topics: scholarships and awards; statistics; financial records; data books; class lists; application forms; and seals.

Administrative law

The series includes lecture notes, assignments, exam questions, outlines, and notes on various aspects of Administrative Law such as Judicial Remedies, Scope of Review and Natural Justice.

While at Carleton University, Professor Abbott taught a graduate course in Administrative Law 51.550 from 1963-1973.
