Administrative history

Sinfonia Musica Orchestra formed in 1999. Concerts were held annually in August in the years 1999-2002 and 2004. Incorporated as a non-profit organization on Oct. 23, 2001. Board of Directors (Nov. 2001): Peter Willsher (president), Peggy Atherton, Jay Atherton. Board of Directors (April 2002): Peter Willsher (president) Peggy Atherton, Jay Atherton, Kevn James, Elisabeth Morrison, Marie Rakos. Peggy Atherton and Jay Atherton resigned from board June 2002. Board of Directors (April 2003): Peter Willsher (president), Kevin James, Elisabeth Morrison, Marie Rakos. No concert held in 2003. Peggy and Jay Atherton reappointed to the board in Jan. 2004, other board member either resigned at that time or had already done so. Board of Directors (April 2004): Jay Atherton (president), Peggy Atherton, Paul Whiteley. Bill Blackstone appointed to board July 1, 2004. Concert held on Aug. 31, 2004. First Annual General Meeting held in Ottawa on Oct. 25, 2004.

Custodial history

The records were donated to the Archives and Research Collections by Peggy Atherton in 2013.
