Series 1 - Subject and reference files

This series consists of documents collected, created, and contributed to by Jacques Dalibard in a professional capacity. Included in this series are documents relating to Government of Canada bodies, such as Patrimoine Canadian Heritage (PHC), the Parks Canada Agency, the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC), and the Department of Indian and Northern Affairs (INAC). Also included are documents relating to Québec provincial government bodies such as Commission des biens culturels du Québec (CBCQ), and Conseil des monuments et sites du Québec (CMSQ). This series also comprises documents and publications related to international heritage organizations such as the National Trust UK, and National Trust USA, Le Ministre des Affaires Culturelles, L'Office franco-québecois pour la jeunesse (OFQJ), L'Organization des villes de patrimoine mondial (OVPM), the World Jewish Conference (WJC), the Society for the Preservation of Ancient Buildings (SPAB), the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), the International Council of Museums (ICOM), the International Council on Monuments and Sites (ICOMOS), the International Centre for the Study of the Preservation and Restoration of Cultural Property (ICCROM), and the Association for Preservation Technology (APT). Also within this series are publications related to heritage conservation including pamphlets, booklets, and promotional materials, as well as notes and monographs relating to cities, towns, provinces, national parks, and regions of Canada and internationally. Publications and bibliographies from museums such as the British Museum and the Museum of London are also included, along with journals and publications related to heritage conservation, construction materials, antiques and artifacts, architecture, culture and tourism, local history, countries, and regions. This series also consists of correspondence and notes regarding Canadian preservation legislation, reproduced articles, reports on preservation and specific events in various countries, publications and reports regarding preservation internationally, notes from the board of Contunuité Magazine, and miscellaneous information related to environmental ecology, environmental organizations, eco-museums, sustainable development, first nations heritage, and ethnic diversity. Also included are presentations and publications by Jacques Dalibard, personal research papers and related documents, projects, reports, photocopied theses, articles lists, inventories, and course materials as well as notes from training in restoration architecture, rehabilitation, cultural resource management, and cultural landscapes.
